Every Second Counts: AED Competition by RBA

In a life-threatening emergency, every second truly counts, especially when it comes to cardiac arrest. That’s why the RBA ran the Every Second Counts competition, asking local businesses to explain why they deserve to win an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The prize the RBA generously donated was three AEDs to the most compelling entries, ensuring life-saving equipment is accessible to those who need it most.

Having an AED on-site can mean the difference between life and death. Cardiac arrests often happen without warning, and with an AED close by, survival rates can significantly improve. Businesses are community hubs, and being equipped with an AED helps protect both employees and customers in the event of an emergency.

By participating, local businesses showed their commitment to safety and community well-being, making it clear that having an AED on hand is a crucial investment in protecting lives.

Congratulations to our three winning businesses – Bounce, Peter Fell, and Decile One.
