Cyclone-displaced families sheltering at Muriwai Beach campground now have a community hub thanks to the team at Event Base.

An uncovered deck has been converted into a new outdoor lounge providing somewhere for people to come together. “We wanted to do something practical” says Simon Hakaraia of his team’s reaction to the damage wrought by Cyclone Gabrielle.
