EcoMatters is passionate about creating communities where aroha and connection with the local environment is restored. We reckon it’s only our love for this place that’s going to create the sort of future we all quietly yearn for. To do that our generous and amazing funders have asked us to be available to the community to provide a place where you can learn, connect, or get down and dirty in taking practical action towards improving our environment. Whether it’s coming to a workshop at our visitor centre or working together beside the stream, if you have a passion and interest in anything environmental – we should talk!
EcoMatters aim is to be a tohu (focal point) to connect people and the environment and to nurture a sense of guardianship (kaitiakitanga) for our beautiful planet. We’ve got a range of clever ways of helping anyone who is interested to do just that – hopefully if you take a look around this website you’ll find a way that inspires you to get involved!
