For the third year, the Rosebank Business Association has encouraged local businesses and their employees to support the ‘Donate a Can’ initiative, providing donations to Kai Avondale. These contributions help stock a free supermarket for Avondale families in need.

This year, donations declined significantly as Auckland families continue to navigate the challenges of the recession. In conversations with businesses, some employees had already been approached by local churches or charities and had directed their support there instead.

Despite this, Kai Avondale was grateful for every contribution, ensuring families had essentials over Christmas. Thank you to everyone who played a part in keeping the shelves stocked!
