The Surrey Hotel has been owned by Richard Langridge for the past 20 years. Richard also owns Metropolitan Rentals, along with other business interests in and around Auckland. Richard is perhaps best known for his collection of vintage and classic cars. His collection of Rolls Royce vehicles is one of the largest private collections in the world.
The General Manager is Denise King, Denise has had more than 20 years in Hotel General Management, and has previously held similar positions at the Millennium Hotel Group and the Rendezvous Hotel Group.
The Surrey Hotel was originally purchased as a 40 room property on the Crummer Road / Great North Road corner. The hotel has now more than doubled in size to 83 guest rooms and includes the motels on the opposite side of Great North Road. Conference rooms have been added and public areas have also increased in size.
The hotel caters to business and leisure customers, both domestic and International. The variation of room types offered ensures the hotel caters to most people’s needs and this is backed up with a very good restaurant, which is open from 6.30am daily, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
